Calm, peace- these words have almost become obsolete now with our hectic lifestyle. ‘Stress’ is the word which has replaced them. So how to get back this calm and that too in a way which will be apt in this tech crazy world? Well, now you have a stylish wearable which you can wear it on your wrist named WellBe. The bracelet monitors your stress and can help in controlling it. As you know the calmness levels, you will be able to learn how it is affecting you and you could make an effort to change your lifestyle with the guidance.
How Does it Work?
The device helps you learn how you get affected during various situations like when you are meditating or traveling in a bus in rush hour. Your heart rate is monitored for three minutes an hour. Your stress level is determined based on place, time and your human interactions with the algorithm.
The relevant WellBe app is used with the wearable device to notify you when your stress levels can be dangerous for you. It notifies you about “mindfulness” exercises like focused breathing, meditation and guided imagination. A personalized list of programs which can help you reduce stress is provided to you with the WellBe device.

Two Heart Rate Monitoring Methods
The WellBe bracelet has two heart rate monitoring methods. The first method uses the resting heart rate whereas the second uses the time between each heartbeat, i.e. heart rate variability. With stress, your heart rate is affected as adrenalinte ist released which will make your heart beat faster and breathing shallow.
The app depends on your GPS location and your calendar along with your heart rate to find out the extent of your stress. Using Bluetooth, the bracelet matches your heart rate with the calendar. This will help you to find out what is stressing you out with regular use. You have to analyze it personally to gain that understanding.
However, it won’t be able to distinguish between negative and positive feelings or mood. For instance, your increased heart rate can be because you are excited or stimulated.
The WellBe bracelet has an accelerometer which finds out your movement when you are exercising.
The bracelet has successfully raised funds from its Indiegogo campaign which ended on 11th July, 2015 with around 150 percent funding. You can still get the bracelet from the campaign page if you are looking for some calm in your life.
What do you think about the bracelet? Are you going to buy it? We would love to hear your thoughts.
