Thync- The Mood Changing Headset

Thync- The Mood Changing Headset

A headset has been launched recently which can alter your mood. With controls on your smartphone, it can boost your energy or calm you down by controlling the electricity in your brain. This Los Gatos-based startup had raised $13 million for its mood altering headset. The company says that the device provides “calm or energy on demand” by using “neurosignalling” which will activate the nerves and change the state of mind of people. How does it look like? Let us have a look at this post to know more.

Thync- Change your Mood with this Headset

Thync looks like a white small triangle made of plastic which has to be set on the forehead. The device is then supplied with “Vibes”, which are specially created zaps that either calm down people or energize them.

There are two modes: Energy Mode and Calm Mode. The device contains a Bluetooth radio which connects to your smartphone. To use the device, you have to attach it to a disposable adhesive tape and use it.

How does it Work?

Download the Thync app to your smartphone. As you open it, the app connects quickly to the device and you can select between two options- calm and energy. As you start the device, you can regulate the intensity of the experience up or down. If you dial it up, you will be excited at the end of the session. On the other hand, if you opt for the less intense experience, you will feel calm at the end of the session.

The module uses tiny pulses of electricity and stimulates the skin where you have placed it. This then triggers the fight-or-flight response in your brain on instinct and indirectly affects the emotional response.

You will get a wavy, tingly feeling on the front of your scalp and on your upper forehead.

Thync is a small white plastic in the shape of a triangle and will cost you $299. You will get the required energy to boost you up on a Monday morning before going to work. You could also calm your brain if sleep is eluding you. You could think of purchasing this small device and alter your moods.

Are you going to buy Thync? What do you think about this device? We would like to hear your thoughts.
