InBody Band- How does it Work?

The InBody Band measures the composition of a body and is extremely versatile. It also uses a companion app to work, which is compatible with Android and iOS devices. Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) is used by the band for analyzing your body. The micro AC current which flows from two electrodes situated at the top, to two electrodes situated at the bottom, is used to measure the body impedance. On the basis of impedance, the total body water is calculated. From the amount of total body water and on the basis of the unique algorithms, the body fat and muscle mass are calculated.

The wrist electrodes must touch the user’s wrist fully while the users are required to put their fingers on the finger electrodes gently. Two hands should not be touching each other. This will ensure accurate measurement.

Using Electrocardiogram, the heart rate is measured by the band. The electric signal from the heart is analyzed by the ECG. In this case, for accurate measurement, the user needs to touch the top electrodes with fingers and the bottom ones with their wrist.
