Gaming addicts are always finding out new games that they can play in their gaming consoles. If you are one of them and have a PlayStation in your home, you might be looking forward to the new games which will be releasing this month. Last month saw the release of some blockbusters like Final Fantasy Type-0, Bloodborne, Game of Thrones Episode 3 and many others. This month will also see some new PlayStation games and some sequels releasing. We bring you five of these games which you can play in April using your PlayStation.
- Mortal Kombat X
This iconic fighting game by NetherRealm Studios will be back again with new additions which is bound to make the game more interesting. In the Mortal Kombat X, there will be two types of finishers- Faction Kills and Quitality. While Faction Kills finishes the moves which are attached to the five factions of each game, Quitality kills a player instantly if they leave or quit during a multiplayer game. Many new characters have been added in the game. They include Jacqui Briggs, Cassie Cage, Kung Jin, D’Vorah and others. Even fan-favorite characters like Liu Kang are also coming back.
- Titan Souls
Titan Souls, developed by Acid Nerve, is an open-world 2D, top-down action game. The challenge is that you can use only one arrow and one HP to defeat 20 bosses. They also have only one HP, like the player. But they can be defeated in only one way which proves to be tough for the player.
This is an action role-playing game by Supergiant Games. The game will make you play the character of “the Kid” and you will move through a fantasy world and fight different types of enemies. You will be able to hear a dynamic voiceover from a narrator which makes the game more interesting with comments on your each move. The music, graphics and gameplay together make the game worthy.
The game was first released in 2011, but this is the first it will be available in PlayStation.
- Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin
If you loved playing Bloodborne, you will definitely love this game. The gameplay is different than Bloodborne. This is the next version of Dark Souls, which was released on PS3. However, Scholar of the First Sin will be different than the first one. It will have new enemies, revamped performance/graphics, map shortcuts, new weapons/armor and more.

- Shovel Knight
This is a 2D game which you can play in 8-bit graphics. You will be reminded of the days when retro gaming was there. You will play the character of the Shovel Knight in the game. The character is a small knight who has a great quest- to overpower the evil Enchantress and save his lost love. The game was primarily released for PCs and Nintendo platforms. Now, it will release for the first time on PlayStation.
So, as the games release through April, you can add them to your collection and have a blast defeating your enemies.
Are you going to play these games? Do you own any gaming platform? We would love to hear your thoughts.
