You might have faced situations when your warm cup of coffee has turned into an undrinkable cold beverage, while you were busy reading or doing any other work. Well now you can bid adieu to those problems, thanks to Nano Heated Mug. The creators of this mug believe that they can solve this daily problem with this mug. Your hot beverages will retain an ideal drinkable temperature of 155 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, for 45 minutes and the charge will be there for up to seven refills. You can either opt for the wired version of the mug or the wireless one. The smart device is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds.
Using the Nano Heated Mug
If you opt for the wired version, you can charge the mug with a USB cord in your home, at your computer and even in your car. Once full power is given, it will last till seven refills and then you have to plug it again. Go for a wireless charging plate if you find it tough to deal with wires.
Design HMI and Green Lama have developed the wireless heated mug. The liquid is kept warm with the use of nano heat technology that is developed by Advanced Materials Enterprises. It is not yet known how the technology works. However, it seems the mug doesn’t work in the same way as metal thermoses. The main benefit of the mug is that it heats up really fast.

The Nano Heated Mug turns off after 30 minutes automatically to save power. The mug is made of plastic and can hold up to 16 ounces of liquid. You can easily carry it with you when you travel, without worrying about spilling your coffee or other beverage, as it comes with an insulated lid having a snap-fit. Maximum insulation is ensured with the double lining. The metal lining is made of stainless steel. You will be able to know whether the mug is switched on when you see a blue ring which remains illuminated. If the battery level goes down below 25 percent, the ring flashes red in color. You have to wash it with your hand as it is not dishwasher safe.
The developers are running a Kickstarter campaign with a funding goal of $120,000 goal. The campaign ends on 2nd May. If you pledge your funds, you can get the Nano Heated Mug at a discounted rate. The regular retail price of the device will be $40. The first shipments of the heated mugs for the consumers are expected to begin from June 2015. So, if you want to get the mug before it hits retail, you can pre-order it through the crowdfunding campaign.
What about you? Are you going to pledge your funds for the campaign? We would love to hear your thoughts.
