Google is no longer just focused on search engine optimization.  Over the years the tech giant has created some wonderful projects which have made a strong impact on us. While some current projects might be unknown to many till now, others have garnered quite the attention from people. Even some projects are there which still hasn’t released but are already generating news.

  • Google Glass

This is perhaps one of the most popular projects from this company. Its popularity can not only be attributed to the many positive reactions it has received but also for its fair share of controversies. The Glass is an augmented reality headset which lets users view augmented content, projected over real world. Google Glass Explorers have used this AR glass in different areas. However, it was not released commercially and recently the Glass is starting all over again. It will be built from scratch under Tony Fadell, the CEO of Nest.

Project Tango was unveiled with the goal of providing mobile devices an understanding of motion and space just like humans. Project Tango was unveiled at the Google I/O Developer Conference last year. The project can show the exact location and direction of the users by developing indoor maps. Recently, this 3D-tracking tablet has moved from ATAP to a different division so that it can be developed to get more beneficial results.

Though this is not a direct project of Google, yet it has garnered quite some popularity. The robot dog is a project created by Boston Dynamics, a company focused on the development of robotics and which has been acquired by Google. A few days back, it created Spot, a robot dog which can withstand kicks from humans and can also move through rough terrains without the least problem.

This is a smartphone from Google which is supposedly going to be launched later this year at Puerto Rico. You can expect to get better cameras, double power and speaker sounds from the smartphone. The video that has been released to promote the product gives an idea how the smartphone can be. You don’t have to worry about the LCD getting damaged. This upcoming Google project can garner a huge demand among consumers.
