Sony Unveils Thinnest 4K TV at CES 2015

Sony has made a huge impact at this year’s CES by unveiling a number of products. The best among the lot is the 4K TV. The company has advertised the XBR-X900C 4K TV as the slimmest LED TV from Sony till date. This smart TV will enhance your TV viewing experience immensely. The whole array of 4K TVs are extremely thin and are meant to “vanish” when they are mounted on the wall.

With its slim range of TVs, Sony is planning to dominate the television market in a big way.

The Sony Bravia X900C is a huge TV with 65 inch display and is only 4.9 mm thick (Yes you read that right!) The best thing is that it is thinner than a standard iPhone, whose thickness in just under 7mm. This ultra thin display is not just about specs. When it comes to color and contrast, this 4K TV could not have a better picture. The super-detailed pictures that you will watch will be of 8 million pixels, i.e. four times the resolution of a 1080p HDTV.

The effect of the 4K TV will be more pronounced when you view relevant 4K content. The existing content is improved so that you can watch it in 4K.

The TVs come in three sizes- 55, 65 and 75 inch.

Android TV Operating System

This thinnest 4K TV of Sony will also act as a smart TV which will be using the Android TV operating system. It will run on Android Lollipop. With this Android TV, smartphone features will be added to your big screen. You will get support for music, movies, voice search, photos, apps and games. With this OS, users will be able to take advantage of the One Flick Interface of Sony.

Sony has also launched a 4K home cinema projector, the VPL-VW350ES. It has two HDMI 2.0 ports; one of them is HDCP capable. The projection is done at a brightness of 1,500 lumens. The Triluminos tech which improves the contrast, color and sharpness of the images is used by the cinema projector.
