Distraction is a very common reason to get your work from getting done without any glitch. While working, you will get many things like Facebook posts, memes, videos, and tweets which can keep you from completing your work. However, now there is a new smart device which will keep you from getting distracted easily. A productivity startup Saent, aims to make its users more productive by using distraction-blocking software and hardware. The Saent button works like any other distraction-reducing software but is different than others in its physical aspect. Let us have a look at this post to know more about this button.
Saent Button- No Distractions
If you enable the button, the desktop app will block apps and sites that are recognized as “unproductive” in order to encourage short term productivity. This procedure is similar to other distraction reducing software. However, the hardware makes it different than others.
The hardware part of Saent is smaller than the size of a coaster and it is comprised of a plastic button which has Bluetooth functionality. When the hardware is paired with your desktop, a “focused work session” will be launched with the touch of a button. You can select the duration of the sessions, which last for either 30, 50 or 90 minutes, depending on the extent of your work. As you select the time, the websites and apps will be blocked which are designated as “unproductive.”

Tracking your Progress
There is an indicator light on the device which tracks the progress you have made during your focused work session. As you get closer to completing your work, the indicator fills up. The app’s dashboard keeps a track of the points you gain as you finish more focused work sessions. Your progress can be followed by friends and coworkers who can then compete for points within the app.
The software associated with it, creates reports on the basis of your behavior, like the times of the day when you are least and most productive. According to the company, the future versions of the software can provide personalized recommendations on the basis of your earlier habits.
At present, the company is running a crowd-funding campaign in Indiegogo. Backers can get the Saent button and the relevant desktop apps in November, whereas mobile apps will be available later. You can get the device for $39 by backing this project. However, if you purchase it later, its cost will be between $49 and $69. With a total funding goal of $100,000 USD, the project has 18 days to go, at the time of writing.
