The 2015 International CES saw the launch of new laptops, tablets and hybrids from many major manufactures. From systems with Intel’s RealSense camera technology to lightweight notebooks, there were a varied range of computers in the CES this year. Here we have listed the top 10 tablets and PCs (not in any particular order) that were displayed at CES 2015.
- Dell XPS 13
According to Dell, this is the smallest 13-inch laptop. The company explains that a lot of research and manufacturing skills were the result of the miniature size of the laptop. The 5.2mm bezel that covers the screen is also worth noticing.
- Asus Transformer Book Chi T300
This is a hybrid which has a display of 12.5 inches and users can choose from a screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels or 1920×1080 pixels, along with Intel Core M.
- Lenovo Flex 3
A new design of the Lenovo Flex 3 was unveiled at the CES 2015. The hinge of Flex 3 folds back completely to 360 degrees. This will let you use the system in kiosk, tablet and laptop modes.
- Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga
The second generation models of the ThinkPad Yoga from Lenovo were unveiled at the CES this year. 14-inch and 15-inch versions were among the models that were launched, making this the biggest Yoga display till now.
- Lenovo LaVie Z
The clamshell laptop weighs 1.7 pounds and the hybrid ones weigh 2.05 pounds. When it comes to 13 inch laptops, these are the lightest laptops ever.
- HP Stream Mini and Pavilion Mini
The Pavilion Mini and the Stream Mini from HP is a pair of pocket-size desktop computers which were the focus of CES 2015 in the PC and laptop area. They start only at $179.
- Acer V17 Nitro
The RealSense 3D camera system from Intel is going to be used in the Nitro V 17 laptop from Acer. This will take users to a world of blended and augmented reality.
- Acer Chromebook 15
Mainstream laptops and cloud-based Chromebooks will be mixed with the Acer Chromebook 15. The company is doing so by using more powerful processors than majority of the devices running on Chrome operating system.
- Toshiba Portege Z20t
The earlier version of this tablet had an 11.6 inch display. This version has a display of 12.5 inches and can be paired with a detachable keyboard. There is a larger pen as well as a small stylus which is included in the tablet body.
- Intel Compute Stick
If you like Chromecast, you will also like the Compute Stick from Intel. It is just a bit bigger than the Chromecast. The device is a Windows 8 PC and provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It runs on tablet hardware. You can get connected without the loss of much space.
